The Chicago underground musician, Sam Prekop, released his self-titled debut album in 1999 which is produced with a marvelously low, smooth and jazzy sound. It’s like his band, The Sea and Cake, had traveled to Rio to submerge their sound into bossanova, the resulting work is a sweet treat. Perfectly produced by the fifth member of Sonic Youth and ex-Gastr del Sol Jim O’Rourke (also playing within the recording), the album has such a lovely relaxing tone that you and your stress should give it a try.
