You should visit one of these MySpace sites

myspace_logo.jpgWe want to share with you some intersting MySpace sites, we choose them not for the fancy design of the site, or beacuse the artists are recognized around the world, we choose them beacuse through their music they offer a great alternative and just beacuse the music is really good and maybe they don’t have the diffusion that they deserve, in addition some of them are independent artists so they need more support.

Some of the best MySpace Music we’ve found so far, enjoy:

Lanu-This Is My Home

Our Album of the month this time is a world premiere, Lanu - This Is My Home beacause it is an innovative, fresh and a breakthrough soundpiece, blending soulful grooves with a punchy Moog bassline, angular Rhodes chords and an emphatic break. It is like if you have bribed the jury to set those sound landscapes free, in fact I can’t get out of my head those magnificent choirs.

Lanu’s productions have received chartlistings and radio play from key tastemakers including: Gilles Peterson (Worldwide, BBC Radio 1), Patrick Forge, Jazzanova, Afronaught, Straight No Chaser Magazine, Quantic, Nicola Conte, Nik Weston,, Rainer Truby, Ennio Styles, Keb Darge, Simon Harrison, John Kong, Paul Murphy and Snowboy.

Lance Ferguson a.k.a. Lanu was born in New Zealand he is know for his guitar skills in the famous deep funk band The Bamboos and is the co-founder of Melbourne’s Local People and Equatorial labels, whose releases had put Melbourne on the map for a vast amount of quality, soulful club-music.

Check out Lanu’s fortnightly online radio show here.
And also download this DJ Mix, featuring Lanu, Seiji & Amp Fidder.

BT’s Studio Robbery

BT StudioOne of the pioneers of electronic music, Brian Transeau (a.k.a. BT) was victim of a robbery, there’s no much details about the procedure that the thieves took, but he is offering a juicy reward of $20,000 U.S. dollars or his equivalent of work time as a producer, this tremendous reward is beacause the gear that was stolen costs over 150,000 dollars, and inside of the main computer there was three of his live shows, so this information is priceless for him, as any electronic musician he need all his source files to work. This is a shame beacuse his last recording “This Binary Universe” sounded really good and different, in comparison with his last efforts.

This advice is for thoose people who usually buy used gear on eBay or other online retailers, BT published the serial number of almost every stolen item, so you can track the perpetrators, and he’s not pretending to put them behind the bars but, instead, he just want to talk to them to try to get his irreplaceable things back.
